administration of California
Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger
on the state’s Central Valley Flood
Protection Board. She has served
in the Bush Administration as an
associate solicitor at the U.S.
Department of the Interior.
Ana has a Masters degree in public
health and has conducted research
on health, education and criminal
justice. While at RAND
Corporation, a public policy
research organization in the
Washington, D.C. area, Ana
investigated education partnerships
in Puerto Rico.
Emma and Ana were born in
Puerto Rico, grew up in Central
Aguirre in a politically-active
family, and are both graduates of
Maria Reina Academy. Neither
time nor distance has diminished
their interest in the political future
of Puerto Rico, a future that
remains as uncertain today as it did
when they were both growing up in
the island. This interest led them to
compile a daily update of political
and policy news.
